Mon ami Hyboid (Astro Chicken Records) m’a récemment rappelé le travail prometteur du jeune artiste Lyonnais Thomas Barrandon qui a sorti son premier album “Escape From Earth” en août 2011 sur le label Italien Sauroid. En janvier, à l’occasion d’un concert de College à Lyon, j’ai eu la chance de le rencontrer et j’ai profité de cet échange pour lui proposer de réaliser une mixtape pour Valerie. Je suis aujourd’hui ravi de vous en présenter le résultat, une sélection dans laquelle il nous présente ses influences majeures mais nous livre également certaines compositions totalement inédites!
I was recently reminded by my friend Hyboid (Astro Chicken Records) of the work of promising young Lyon artist Thomas Barrandon, whose debut album “Escape From Earth” was released in August 2011 on the Italian label, Sauroid. In January, during a College‘s concert at Lyon, I had the good fortune to meet him and took the opportunity to invite him to make a mixtape for Valerie. It gives me great pleasure to present the result – a selection of his major influences as well as some of his own brand new compositions!
