DMX Krew (aka EDMX) is a part of mythical group of artists from the English electronic scene of late 90s. An extremely prolific producer, EDMX will produce numerous EP and albums, mainly on the label Rephlex. The track which I have chosen today is an extract from the album ” We are dmx “, released in 1999, a naive and melodic composition supported by a vocoder (the one from Aphex Twin himself for a bit of trivia) which flows in a more pop-based style than main the main electro artists of this period. A new exciting chapter of the electronic music is beginning here, as live acts and Djs move little by little into large concert halls… Also a message to the people of New York, catch Russ Chimes next Saturday in Le Poisson Rouge for an exceptional night and also Kapt10Kurt, VDRK and Bradley D (Flashmen)!
